Information

 P.E Kits

PE will be taking place every Monday afternoon outside, in all weathers! Please ensure your child wears their PE kit (tracksuit) to school every Monday.

Trainers need to be kept in school at all times as we will be completing the daily mile every day!

Weekly tests

Your child will complete an Arithmetic test on at least every fortnight on a Wednesday morning. Arithmetic sheets will be sent home so you get an understanding of questions being asked. Spelling and times table scores will be put into planners on Friday to let you know how they got on!

Homework

Homework:

As a rough guide for the Summer Term

  • Monday - Weekly spelling homework - complete the spelling challenges on the weekly word list - to be handed in each Thursday via Seesaw. Test on a Friday.
  • Games on Spelling Shed - Based on that week's spellings
  • Occasional Home Learning Projects - from time to time the children will be set an extended task to work on over a number of weeks, when set these will be accompanied by an explanatory letter.
  • Maths shed and TT Rockstars practice - encourage regular, short practices to increase confidence and speed with time tables - you can never get too quick with recall!
  • Daily Reading - 20 minutes reading of their Accelerated Reader book
  • Weekly Maths and English workouts - to continue revisit previous learning. These will be set on Seesaw on a Friday and to be completed by the following Friday at 8.30am.

HOWEVER ...

If your child is struggling with their homework, please let us know via their planner and we can provide additional support - the last thing we want is for children to become stressed or worried about it.

Thanks in advance for your continued support.

Please visit the Spellings/Tables link on the left hand side to find out in advance what we will be testing.

Could you please take out of your child's planner any slips, tests or letters on a daily basis so that you are kept up to date with what is happening at school and also so that they are kept tidy. Many thanks!
